Rex brings more than 30 years of experience as an investment professional. Before founding Red Tortoise, he spent 11 years at Wilmington Trust, where he led the equity group, the asset allocation team, and risk management, and served as Chief Investment Officer.

Rex is deeply embedded in the investment community. He taught the CFA review course for many years, authored numerous articles for the IMCA Investment and Wealth Monitor (earning two writing awards), and served as editor of that publication. He has also served on the certification committee for the CIMA designation and as past President and Board Member for the CFA Society of Atlanta. Rex has appeared on CNBC, Wall Street Week, and Fox Business News, and has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal.

Outside of work, Rex loves to travel, mountain bike and spend time with his family. He lives in the Sandy Springs area with his wife Julia, who is a Master Beekeeper.
